Who are we?

Bayerische Medien Technik GmbH (bmt) was founded in 1994 as a subsidiary of Bayerische Landeszentrale für neue Medien (Bavarian regulatory authority for new media) (BLM) and Bayerischer Rundfunk (Bavarian Broadcasting) (BR). bmt offers its services to all partners in the dual broadcasting system for implementing projects in the field of digital broadcasting. The focus of its work is on development and services for private radio and television companies in Bavaria. In addition, bmt prepares studies and provides consulting services in all its business areas.

bmt focuses on software development (apps, HbbTV, TPEG products) and services (TV playout, FM transmitter network operation, frequency measurements) for private radio and television companies in Bavaria. A wide range of projects in the distribution of audio and video for all partners in the dual broadcasting system has enabled the company to build comprehensive expertise in the digital media sector.

What do we do?
